Amendment made: No. 265, in page 134, line 12, leave out from "regulations" to end of line 15 and insert— '( ) The regulations may provide for such offences to be triable—

  1. (a) only summarily, or
  2. (b) either summarily or on indictment.
( ) The regulations may provide for an offence triable only summarily to be punishable on conviction with a fine not exceeding—
  1. (a) level 5 on the standard scale, or
  2. (b) such lower amount as may be prescribed.
( ) The regulations may provide for an offence triable either summarily or on indictment to be punishable—
  1. (a) on summary conviction, with a fine not exceeding the statutory maximum or such lower amount as may be prescribed, or
