I beg to move amendment No. 29, in page 52, line 15, leave out subsection (5) and insert— '(5) The following provisions shall be treated for the purposes of this section as forming part of this Part of this Act—

  1. (a) paragraphs 35 and 36 of Schedule 4, and
  2. (b) paragraphs I8A to 18C of Schedule 5.'.

With this it will be convenient to discuss Government amendments Nos. 31 to 34, 41, 42 and 58.

The amendments are intended to carry forward for Northern Ireland the provisions that appear in paragraph 8 of schedule 7 to the Prevention of Terrorism Act. I commend them to the House.
