§ Mr. Keith Vaz (Leicester, East)On behalf of my constituents, Lynne Sellars, Elaine Burgin, Paul Newcombe and Ricki Thomas, and Councillors Mary Draycott, Stewart Foster and Walt Lindsey, I wish to present a petition in support of additional police officers in the outer estates of Leicester, East. In addition, my constituents want to ensure that the local police station at Uppingham road remains open on a full-time basis. The petition calls on the Home Secretary to allow sufficient resources to be spent to open the police station at Uppingham road, Leicester permanently and to provide additional police officers in the Thurnby Lodge area.
