Queen's recommendation having been signified—

Motion made, and Question put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 52(1)(a), That for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Education (Student Loans) Bill, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of money provided by Parliament of any increase attributable to the Act—

  1. (a) in the sums required by the Secretary of State for making payments under the Education (Student Loans) Act 1990;
  2. (b) in the expenses of the Secretary of State under that Act.—[Ms Bridget Prentice.]
