The second petition bears 5,807 signatures and concerns the Lever Park Bill. It says: To the Honourable the Commons of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Parliament assembled. The Humble Petition of the people of Bolton North East and the surrounding areas, including the members of the Owls Motorcycle Club, Sheweth that they oppose the proposed development of Lever Park in Bolton. Wherefore your Petitioners pray that your honourable House reject the Lever Park Bill in order to preserve free access to the park for the public, in accordance with Lord Leverhulme's wishes. And your petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever pray, etc.
