Motion made, and Question put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 50A(1)(a), That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Education (Scotland) Bill [Lords], it is expedient to authorise—

  1. (1) the payment out of money provided by Parliament of—
    1. (a) any sums required by the Secretary of State as payments of grants or other payments made in pursuance of section 13 of the Act;
    2. (b) any sums required to enable the Secretary of State to make loans to the Scottish Qualifications Authority under section 14 of the Act;
    3. (c) any sums required by the Secretary of State for fulfilling a guarantee under section 15 of the Act;
    4. (d) any sums required by the Secretary of State as payments of grants made in pursuance of section 23 of and Schedule 3 to the Act;
    5. (e) any administrative expenses incurred by the Secretary of State under the Act; and
    6. (f) any increases attributable to the Act in the sums payable out of money so provided under any other Act; and
  2. (2) the payment into the Consolidated Fund of any sums received by the Secretary of State in pursuance of sections 14 and 15 of the Act.—[Mr. Ottaway.]
