HC Deb 08 February 1995 vol 254 cc432-3 9.20 pm
Mr. Patrick McLoughlin (West Derbyshire)

I beg leave to present a petition given to me by Councillor Percy Brindley on Monday. It is about the Department of Transport's decision to postpone its plans to build the Doveridge bypass. The petition reads: To the House of Commons The Petition of residents of Doveridge and the surrounding area declares that the decision to delay the construction of the A564 Stoke-Derby link road means that the failure to build it puts them in continuing danger and the Petitioners urge the House to press the Secretary of State for Transport to reinstate this road, otherwise known as the Doveridge Bypass, into the roads programme immediately. And the Petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever pray.

To lie upon the Table.
