That, notwithstanding the provisions of Standing Order No. 14 (Exempted business), the Speaker shall put the Questions on the Motions in the name of Mr. Secretary Gummer relating to the draft Local Government Act 1988 (Competition) (Defined Activities) Order 1994 and the draft Local Government Act 1988 (Competition) (Defined Activities) (Construction and Property Services) Order 1994 not later than one and a half hours after the first such Motion has been entered upon; and the said Motions may be entered upon and proceeded with at any hour, though opposed.—[Mr. Burns.]
