§ Mr. VazThe second petition is presented on behalf of Mr. Gurdip Gujral, Mr. C.B. Patel, Mr. G.K. Noon and about 1,000 members of the Asian community in Britain, who are very concerned that the new Millennium Commission which has been set up by statute in the National Lottery etc. Act 1993, does not contain a representative from Britain's Asian community. They felt strongly that, to be fully representative, the Commission ought to contain someone of Asian origin. I pointed that out to the Secretary of State for National Heritage. The community has, therefore, asked in the petition that the Government appoint someone of Asian origin to that Commission.
