HC Deb 07 July 1994 vol 246 c552 That this House takes note of European Community Document No. 5074/94, relating to energy and economic and social cohesion; and supports the Government's view that, while energy may make a welcome contribution to economic and social cohesion, energy projects, policies and programmes should not be used specifically to promote cohesion objectives unless it is clearly appropriate to do so, and that the development of an increasingly competitive and efficient energy sector has an important role to play in the economic progress of the Community.
