HC Deb 06 May 1993 vol 224 cc383-4

10 pm

Mr. Charles Kennedy (Ross, Cromarty and Skye)

I wish to present a petition on behalf of more than 8,000 constituents in Ross, Cromarty and Skye who reside in and around the communities of Alness, Evanton and Invergordon.

The petition

Declares that there is strong opposition locally to the proposal by the Scottish Ambulance Association to transfer to Dingwall the ambulances presently stationed in Alness.

The Petitioners therefore request that the House of Commons takes note of the local concern being expressed and gives its support to the efforts being made locally to identify an alternative site for an ambulance depot in Alness.

And the Petitioners remain, &c.

To lie upon the Table.
