Mr. Nigel Spearing, supported by Ms Diane Abbott, Mr. Don Foster and Mr. Ray Powell, presented a Bill to require local authorities to have regard for the need for securing that provision is made for pupils who have not attained the age of five years by the provision of nursery education as in section 8(2)(b) of the Education Act 1944; and for connected purposes: And the same was read the First time; and ordered to be read a Second time upon Friday 18 February, and to be printed.
