Question accordingly agreed to.

11.10 pm
Mr. A. J. Beith (Berwick-upon-Tweed)

On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker. Before you put the Questions on the next two motions I thought that it might be prudent to check what happened in the Committees that considered the motions. I went to the Vote Office and was told that the reports on the Committees in which the orders were considered are not yet available and cannot be made available to hon. Members. Therefore, I believe that it would be wrong to put the Questions when the House cannot know anything other than that the Committee considered the instruments.

Mr. Deputy Speaker (Mr. Michael Morris)

The right hon. Gentleman knows full well that it is in order for the motions to be moved. The matter he raised is a matter for the Government.

Motion made, and Question put forthwith pursuant to Standing Order No. 101(5) (Standing Committees on Statutory Instruments, &c.).
