Queen's Recommendation having been signified—

Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Criminal Justice Bill [Lords], it is expedient to authorise the payment out of money provided by Parliament—

  1. (a) of compensation for loss suffered as a result of the making of confiscation orders which are varied or cancelled; and
  2. (b) of grants to such persons as the Secretary of State considers appropriate in connection with measures intended—
    1. (i) to combat or deal with drug trafficking or the misuse of drugs; or
    2. (ii) to deal with consequences of the misuse of drugs.—[Mr. Andrew Mitchell.]
