HC Deb 12 March 1992 vol 205 c1082 10.34 pm
Sir Anthony Grant (Cambridgeshire, South-West)

On a rather less international but none the less supremely important subject, I beg to present a petition signed by more than 1,000 people, on behalf of the village of Harston in the county of Cambridgeshire, which suffers from intolerable levels of traffic on the A10 trunk road, causing nuisance to the residents from noise and pollution and —what is more important—serious danger. There has been loss of life and limb on that road. Therefore, I present the petition on behalf of those people. Wherefore your petitioners pray that your honourable House will grant the provision of a bypass for the village of Harston. And your petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever pray, etc.

To lie upon the Table.
