Queen's Recommendation having been signified—

Resolved,

That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Friendly Societies Bill, it is expedient to authorize—

  1. (1) the payment out of money provided by Parliament of—
    1. (a) any expenses incurred by the Friendly Societies Commission established by that Act which are attributable to that Act;
    2. (b) any expenses incurred by the Treasury—
      1. (i) for the purposes of tribunals established in pursuance of that Act to hear appeals against decisions of that Commission; or
      2. (ii) for the purposes of any person appointed under that Act to determine disputes under the National Savings Banks Act 1971 or the National Debt Act 1972;
    3. (c) any expenses incurred by the Chief Registrar of friendly societies which are attributable to any functions of his or of the central office under the Act;
  2. (2) any increase attributable to that Act in the sunas so payable under any other enactment.—[Mr. Maples.]
