Queen's Recommendation having been signified— Resolved,

That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Local Government Bill [Lords], it is expedient to authorise the payment out of money provided by Parliament of—

(a) any sums required by the Secretary of State for—

  1. (i) paying to the Local Government Commission for England established under that Act amounts required by that Commission for carrying out its functions;
  2. (ii) paying compensation to persons who cease, under that Act, to hold office as members of the Local Government Boundary Commission for England; or
  3. (iii) meeting expenses incurred by a staff commission established by an order under that Act; and

(b) any increase attributable to that Act in the sums payable out of money so provided under any other enactment.—[Mr. Patnick.J
