HC Deb 06 February 1992 vol 203 c476 4.48 pm
Mr. Dennis Skinner (Bolsover)

On a point of order, Mr. Speaker. I wonder whether you have had a request from the Secretary of State for the Environment regarding the impending eviction tomorrow of 90 homeless people from a refuge at Waterloo road ambulance station, which is owned by Hill Samuel, bankers. The company is taking the people to court tomorrow to get an eviction order so that it may throw them on to the street. It is high time the Government had a Minister here to make a statement about stopping the eviction and telling the Government's friends, the bankers Hill Samuel, not to throw those 90 people out on the street.

Mr. Speaker

What the hon. Gentleman has said will have been heard. No doubt he would have raised that matter during business questions if he had been fortunate enough to be called.
