Pike, Mr. Lawrence Cunliffe, Mr. Ian McCartney, Ms. Dawn Primarolo and Mr. George Howarth, presented a Bill to amend the Leasehold Reform Acts 1967 and 1979; to prevent the establishment of further 999 year leasehold agreements; to establish new formulae for calculating the sale value of an existing lease to an occupier of long lease residential property; to remove from existing leaseholders the obligations to seek permission of the ground landlord when carrying out improvements to the property; to establish the right of long leaseholders to manage their property in a manner of their own choice; and for connected purposes: And the same was read the First time; and ordered to be read a Second time upon Friday 26 April and ordered to be printed.
