§ 33. Mr. Harry GreenwayTo ask the Lord President of the Council whether he has any plans to change the glue on envelopes which are not of the self-seal variety; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. MacGregorI have no plans to do so.
§ Mr. GreenwayI represent my secretary's misgivings about the glue on envelopes not of the self-seal variety. Will my right hon. Friend take some action to change the obnoxious glue currently used on envelopes to something decent such as peppermint or strawberry-flavoured glue?
§ Mr. MacGregorI will ensure that my hon. Friend's complaint is drawn to the attention of the Serjeant at Arms, who can deal with such matters. In view of the question that my hon. Friend asked previously, I am not sure whether rice pudding-flavoured glue would be appropriate for envelopes.
