Queen's Recommendation having been signified—

Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session relating to finance, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of money provided by Parliament of sums payable by virtue of any provision of that Act requiring the Secretary of State to pay a sum by way of rebate of vehicles excise duty where a goods vehicle for which a vehicle licence is in force is transported by rail in the United Kingdom in the course of the transport of goods between member States by means of combined transport.

Bill ordered to be brought in upon the foregoing: And that the Chairman of Ways and Means, Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. Secretary Heseltine, Mr. Secretary Clarke, Mr. Secretary Rifkind, Mr. Secretary Newton, Mr. Secretary Howard, Mr. SecretaryLilley, Mr. David Mellor, Mrs. Gillian Shepherd, Mr. John Maples and Mr. Francis Maude do prepare and bring it in.
