Ordered, That with effect from beginning of the next Session of Parliament— A. The following Standing Order be made: '204A. When an order of the day has been read for the consideration or further consideration, as amended, of a private bill set down by direction of the Chairman of Ways and Means at Seven o'clock, the Question, That the Bill, as amended, be now considered (Or be now further considered) shall not be put: but (unless the Chairman of Ways and Means names a future day for the consideration or further consideration of the bill, or a motion is made to recommit the bill in whole or in part), the House (l) shall forthwith proceed to consider any amendments proposed on consideration of the bill which have been selected by Mr. Speaker; and (2) may, if there are no such amendments or when the amendments have been disposed of, proceed to the third reading of the Bill, notwithstanding the provisions of Standing order 205 (Notice of third reading.)' B. Standing Order 205 (Notice of third reading) be amended by inserting, in line 1, at the beginning, `Subject to the provisions of S.O. 204A (Opposed business (Consideration and Third Reading)).'.—[The First Deputy Chairman of Ways and Means.]
