§ Mr. ScottThere were 110,100 women receiving invalid care allowance on 31 January 1991 compared with 3,600 in January 1981, the earliest year for which such information is available.
§ Mr. EvansDoes my right hon. Friend agree that spending has gone up from £4 million to £200 million during the past 10 years? Does he agree that, once again, the Government are concerned with hot money, whereas the Opposition are concerned with hot air?
§ Mr. ScottI very much agree with my hon. Friend. This is an excellent benefit that delivers good levels of care to severely disabled people.
