'The New Roads and Street Works Act 1991

. In section 60 of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (traffic-sensitive streets), after subsection (3) there shall be added— (4) Where a London authority are asked by the Traffic Director for London to designate a street as a traffic-sensitive street and the authority decline to do so, the Director may appeal to the Secretary of State who may direct that the street be designated. In this subsection 'London authority' and 'priority route' have the same meanings as in Part II of the Road Traffic Act 1991.".'.—[Lords James Douglas-Hamilton.]
