HC Deb 06 September 1990 vol 177 c733

Resolved, That this House at its rising to-morrow, do adjourn until Monday 15th October; that at this day's sitting, Mr. Speaker do adjourn the House at Ten o'clock, without putting any Question; and that, at to-morrow's sitting, Mr. Speaker shall at half-past Two o'clock put the Question already proposed from the Chair.—[Sir Geoffrey Howe.]

Mr. Speaker

No fewer than 98 right hon. and hon. Members wish to take part in this important two-day debate. Therefore, I think that the House will understand if I put a limit of 10 minutes on the speeches between 6 and 8 o'clock this evening. I ask right hon. and hon. Members who may be called before or after that time to bear that limit in mind.
