§ Mr. AtkinsWe are providing support on a massive scale for new public transport infrastructure and roads to improve access to the inner cities. Examples include the 12 Greater Manchester Metrolink and the Jubilee line extension to consolidate the regeneration of London's docklands.
Mr. HughesI thank my hon. Friend for that answer. Does he agree that the massive regeneration of the inner cities under the stewardship of this Government has been as a result of the imaginative combination of private money and private initiative, with the public grants that have been given, mainly by his Department?
