That this House calls on the Secretary of State for Energy to introduce within this session of Parliament the necessary measures contained within the recently published Government Response to the Report of the Subsidence Compensation Review Committee (Cm. 235), so as to enable a proper and fair system of compensation for coal mining subsidence damage to be established.My motion concerns subsidence. This subject is particularly relevant to the mining industry and also to engineering.
