factual statement referring to the comments, on the record, of the SNP on Tayside regional council, that the hon. Member for Banff and Buchan (Mr. Salmond) said, "It's all lies." I am sure that you would want him to explain that he was not suggesting that my hon. Friend was telling lies when he gave that factual report.

Let me deal with the matter. I was listening carefully to the hon. Member for Glasgow, Maryhill (Mrs. Fyfe) and I was trying to interpret "twit"—what I understood to be an endearing term in Scotland although it is less so in England—so I did not hear what else was going on. Does the hon. Member for Banff and Buchan want to correct that?

Yes. The word I used was "rubbish" and I am happy to stick to that.
