Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Immigration Bill ("the Act"), it is expedient to authorise—

  1. (a) the charging of fees for applications under the Immigration Act 1971 for indefinite leave to remain in the United Kingdom and for the grant of such leave; and
  2. (b) the payment into the Consolidated Fund of any sums received by the Secretary of State by virtue of the Act.—[Mr. Alan Howarth.]
