The petition protests against draft guidelines issued by the Home Office and to be debated by the House later today,
relating to representation of Members of Parliament on immigration mattersrepresenting
a major new restriction on the entry of people into the United Kingdom, especially those visiting from the New Commonwealth and Pakistan, and a reduction in the rights of MPs to represent their constituents.The petitioners pray that this honourable House will not approve such guidelines, and I beg leave to present the petition.
