§ Mr. Tom Sackville (Bolton, West)I beg leave to present a petition to the House on behalf of 1,500 of my 761 constituents. It reflects their deep conviction that Sunday has special characteristics as a day of rest, recreation and worship for the benefit of family and community life. They believe that the current legislation before Parliament allowing for unlimited trading on Sunday will diminish those characteristics of Sunday.
