HC Deb 10 March 1986 vol 93 c668 3.35 pm
Mr. Peter Hardy (Wentworth)

On a point of order, Mr. Speaker.

Mr. Speaker

Does it arise from Question Time?

Mr. Hardy

Yes, Sir.

During Question Time there was, quite coincidentally, no proper opportunity to refer to the recent publicity surrounding the NACODS agreement, from which the colliery review procedure stems. As it was reported at the weekend, that quite deliberate deception seems to have been employed in securing that agreement, will you permit, or encourage, the Minister to give the Department's point of view, and to comment on what steps can be taken to secure the restoration of trust in the miming industry?

Mr. Speaker

We did not reach the hon. Gentleman's question on the Order Paper, but I think that if he had been ingenious enough he might have found an opportunity to get it in during Question Time.
