§ The Financial Secretary to the Treasury (Mr. Norman Lamont)I beg to move,
That, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the practice of the House relating to matters which may be included in Finance Bills, any Finance Bill of the present Session may contain provisions taking effect in a future year with respect to activities of entertainers not resident in the United Kingdom and sportsmen not resident in the United Kingdom.It might be for the convenience of the House, Mr. Deputy Speaker, if with this we take motions Nos. 8 to 16:That, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the practice of the House relating to matters which may be included in Finance Bills. any Finance Bill of the present Session may contain provision with respect to the limit imposed by section 4 of the National Loans Act 1968 in relation to loans made by the Public Works Loan Commissioners in pursuance of section 3 of that Act.That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Finance Bill, it is expedient to authorise any increase in the sums payable out of or into the National Loans Fund which is attributable to any provision of that Act increasing to £42,000 million, with power to increase by order to £50,000 million, the limit imposed by section 4 of the National Loans Act 1968 in relation to loans made by the Public Works Loan Commissioners in pursuance of section 3 of that Act.
