HC Deb 11 June 1986 vol 99 c330

Mr. Don Dixon accordingly presented a Bill to restrict and control the sale of crossbows and make their sale to minors a punishable offence: And the same was read the First time; and ordered to be read a Second time upon 4 July and to be printed. [Bill 176].

Mr. Jeremy Corbyn (Islington, North)

On a point of order, Mr. Speaker. Is it in order for the manufacturers of offensive weapons to send misleading information to hon. Members the day before my hon. Friend the Member for Jarrow (Mr. Dixon) introduced his ten-minute Bill? They sought to influence the debate without giving hon. Members a chance to check the information in a report sponsored by the manufacturers.

Mr. Speaker

I am not responsible for any representations that may be made from outside this place to hon. Members.
