HC Deb 02 July 1986 vol 100 c1134

Lords amendment: No. 42, in page 10, line 2, leave out by virtue only of subsection (2) above and insert before proceedings have been instituted

Mr. Mellor

I beg to move, That this House doth agree with the Lords in the said amendment.

Mr. Deputy Speaker

With this it will be convenient to take Lords amendments Nos. 48, 61, 62, 64, 73 and 179.

Mr. Mellor

The amendments allow the prosecution as well as the holder of the property to seek a variation in a restraint or charging order. We think that this additional flexibility will be welcome to the House.

Question put and agreed to.

Subsequent Lords amendments agreed to.
