§ Mr. LeeFire damage to Ministry of Defence buildings and stores has resulted in losses of £166 million over the past five years. By far the largest proportion of these losses, estimated by the board of inquiry at £152 million, is attributable to the fire at the Central Ordnance Depot, Donnington, on 24 June 1983.
