§ Mr. SpeakerI have two statements to make. First, it may be for the convenience of the House if I confirm that the Public Bill Office has treated notices of ten minute rule motions received at 10 o'clock this morning as valid notwithstanding the fact that Thursday's sitting has been broken. The same treatment is being accorded to any notices of presentations of Bills handed in before the rising of the House today for tomorrow, Friday 12 December.
Secondly, I remind hon. Members that on the motion for the Adjournment of the House on Friday 19 December, up to eight hon. Members may raise with Ministers subjects of their own choice. Applications should reach my Office by 10 pm on Monday next. A ballot will be held on Tuesday morning and the result made known as soon as possible thereafter.
