Now that the vice-chairman of the Conservative party has joined the chorus of those who believe that it was a mistake to exclude the areas from benefit, will the Minister realise that this is a special case and consider it again?
§ Mr. MorrisonThe hon. Gentleman has pushed the case of Alnwick and Amble very sincerely over a long period. I am aware of the position. I am aware also that the level of unemployment has risen in that part of the country.
