§ Mr. Michael Fallon (Darlington)I beg to ask leave, Mr. Speaker, to present a petition to the House. It is prepared by the council of the borough of Darlington, and it is to the effect that this honourable House will decline to enact the Transport Bill or any other legislation to implement the proposals of the White Paper on buses.
I make no further comment on the petition, other than to remind the House, as is probably well known, that the fact that I present the petition does not mean that I endorse either the prayer or the premises on which it is based.
