HC Deb 15 July 1985 vol 83 c29 3.59 pm
Mrs. Ann Clwyd (Cynon Valley)

On a point of order, Mr. Speaker. My point of order is brief. I am sure that you are aware that the facilities of the House have been severely interfered with today because of the presence of hundreds of visiting Americans. The Welsh room has been turned into a first-aid room, without prior consultation with Welsh Members. The parking facilities for disabled Members have been converted into a portaloo for the visiting Americans. In future, Mr. Speaker, will you give us notice of such changes? Are we being well paid for the loss of facilities?

Mr. Speaker

I shall draw the matter to the attention of the Services Committee. I was not aware of the point that the hon. Lady raises. I am aware that the American Bar Association is holding its meeting here, because I was present this morning in Westminster Hall.
