Queen's Recommendation having been signified—

Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Ports (Finance) Bill, it is expedient to authorise—

  1. (a) the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of any sums required by the Secretary of State for marking grants (not in the aggregate exceeding £40 million) to the National Dock Labour Board in respect of costs incurred by the Board for the purpose of reducing the number of registered dock workers; and
  2. (b) any increase in the sums payable out of such moneys or into the Consolidated Fund which is attributable to 831 increasing the limit in section 1(3) of the Ports (Financial Assistance) Act 1981 from £360 million to £500 million. [Mr. Durant.]
