Queen's Recommendation having been signified—

Resolved,

That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Mineral Workings Bill, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of money provided by Parliament of—

  1. (1) any expenses of the Secretary of State incurred in paying sums to the British Steel Corporation in respect of ironstone extracted by operators in the financial year ending on 31st March 1985;
  2. (2) any expenses of the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food incurred (whether in the form of grant or otherwise) under arrangements to bring worked ironstone land to a good state of cultivation and fertility.—[Mr. Donald Thompson.]
