I take it that the hon. Gentleman is inquiring about our strategic nuclear forces; and I can assure him that no review of our policy is under way.

Are there any strategic circumstances under which Trident nuclear missiles in Britain could be used without the consent and approval of the United States Government?

Mr. Heseltine

There is no question of any consent being necessary.
