HC Deb 15 May 1984 vol 60 c302
Mr. Hurd

I beg to move amendment No. 205, in page 83, leave out lines 22 and 23.

Mr. Deputy Speaker

With this it will be convenient to take Government amendments Nos. 207 to 212, 275, 276 and 279.

Mr. Hurd

This is a series of technical amendments. The first increased the discretion of a chief superintendent to authorise a sergeant to act as an inspector. The other amendments in the group clarify our intentions in clauses 102 and 103. I draw particular attention to amendment No. 279, dealing with the position of the Customs.

Amendment agreed to.
