Queen's Recommendation having been signified—

Resolved,

That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Cable and Broadcasting Bill [Lords] (`the Act'), it is expedient to authorise—

  1. (a) the payment out of money provided by Parliament of advances to the Cable Authority, subject to a limit of £2 million on the amount for the time being outstanding by way of principal in respect of such advances;
  2. (b) any increase attributable to the provisions of the Act in the sums payable under any other Act out of money so provided or out of the Consolidated Fund.—[Mr. Major.]
