Mr. Ancram

I beg to move amendment No. 33, in page 7, line 37, leave out `and (2)' and insert '(3) and (6A) (except paragraph (b)), or'.

Mr. Speaker

With this it will be convenient to take Government amendments Nos. 34, 38, 40, 42, 43, 53, 56, 59, 64, 65, 86 and 90.

Mr. Ancram

The purpose of these amendments is to provide for an extension of the six-month time limit within which, under clauses 6(6) or 7(5) a person entitled to assistance by way of repurchase may require the authority to enter into an agreement for the repurchase on the terms and conditions previously agreed or determined.

The extension is similar to that currently provided by clauses 6(2) and 6(1). In addition, in Scotland there are time limits applying to the person entitled to assistance in clauses 7(3) and 7(4) relating to a request to the authority to strike out or vary conditions. These are dealt with in amendment No. 56 to allow extension of that period.

Amendment agreed to.

Amendments made: No. 34, in page 7, line 38, leave out `6(3) or, as the case may be, 7(1)' and insert `7(1), (2) and (5A) (except paragraphs (b) to (d))'.

No. 35, in page 8, line 3, leave out subsection (6).—[Mr. Gow.]
