§ Mr. Allan StewartThe hon. Gentleman makes a perfectly fair point about the relevance of classification. Broadly speaking, he is correct. It is used to provide a hierarchy for route numbering and maps. The principal use is for town and country planning regulations, but it will also be used for road traffic regulations.
