§ That this House takes note of the proposal for a Council Directive on containers of liquids for human consumption contained in the Department of Trade and Industry's Explanatory Memorandum dated 30th March 1984; and supports the Government's intention to improve the environment and conserve resources without imposing unnecessary legislative burdens on industry.—[Mr. Major.]
