Queen's Recommendation having been signified—

Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Scotland) Bill it is expedient to authorise the payment out of money provided by Parliament of—

  1. (a) any expenses incurred by the Secretary of State—
    1. (i) in paying remuneration or allowances to persons appointed as a temporary measure to act as judges of the Court of Session and High Court of Justiciary;
    2. (ii) in assisting persons to conduct research into any matter connected with the law;
  2. (b) any expenses incurred by the Lord Advocate in assisting persons to conduct such research; and
  3. (c) any increase attributable to the said Act in the sums which, under any other Act, are payable out of money so provided.—[Mr. Sainsbury.]
