  1. (1) A person acting as an Approved Inspector shall not have had, until final notice is given, any direct or indirect financial or professional interest in the work specified.
  2. (2) A person acting as an Approved Inspector who contravenes the provisions of subsection (1) above shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction in accordance with the provisions of section 40(2) of this Act.".—[Mr. John Fraser.]
